Many retro consoles, including the SNES, have a well-known problem: image content smears from left to right, often referred to as ‘ghosting’. This is caused by an unfavourable circuit design in the console’s proprietary chips.
The EdgeBuster stabilises the outputs of these chips, ensuring the signal waveform is correct again. Signal drop-off and excessively slow rise and fall times are eliminated, resulting in a sharper picture without any loss of detail or colour.
To install it, solder the ground and VCC connections and run one wire to each of the video pins that require correction. Up to four wires can be connected, which is sufficient for RGB and composite. You can adjust the strength of the correction to suit your console.
