USB-C charging & audio port including headphone adapter for Game Boy Advance SP

USB-C charging and audio port with headphone functionality for the GBA SP by RetroSix

With this mod, you replace the OEM charging port on your Game Boy Advance SP with a USB-C port. You can use this to charge the console, and with the included adapter, you can also connect 3.5 mm headphones.

Features

• Charging via standard USB-C or USB-A cables and power adaptors
• Compatible with analogue 3.5 mm headphones (adapter included in the set)
• A choice of two casing covers (black and clear)

Includes

• 1 x USB-C port
• 2 x covers (black, clear)
• 1 x USB-C to 3.5 mm jack adapter

Tips

• Fully compatible with audio amplifiers such as the RetroSix CleanAmp
• The soldering required for installation is quite challenging
• Important: When installing USB-C ports on the GBA SP, it is important to first solder the two side ground contacts using plenty of solder, as these also serve to stabilise the PCB. Only once the port is stable and securely attached to the mainboard should the remaining pins be soldered. Otherwise, the delicate vias on the port PCB will be damaged.
