One of the biggest disadvantages of the Sega Game Gear is the screen - the original is dim, has poor contrast and is very prone to errors. Due to the outdated technology, it is very power-hungry, which is reflected in the high battery consumption. With the CleanScreen, you can give your Game Gear a modern upgrade - easy to install and energy-efficient!

Tips
- The CleanScreen board is only compatible with IPS LCDs from version V2 onwards
- Compatible with 1 chip and 2 chip versions (VA0/1/2)
- The V3.0 kit includes a clock booster to drastically improve compatibility with Game Gear boards (see video)
- Attention: Until further notice, a cable must be soldered to pin 9 of the OEM LCD connector, even when using the wirefree kit (see video)
- NOT compatible with VA4/5
Controls
- Hold Start + 2 + Left to open the OSD menu

Hints
The mod / installation requires basic technical knowledge and appropriate tools. If you need help with that, feel free to contact us!
ATTENTION: The Display must be tested BEFORE installation! Before you install the LCD kit, you first need to test it (dry run). It is important that the LCD is tested outside the shell BEFORE installation so that damage caused by the installation can be ruled out. Likewise, no adhesives must have been applied, LCD frames used or soldering work carried out. The LCD is very fragile and can be destroyed by even slight pressure. Complaints about kits that have already been installed will unfortunately have to be rejected without exception!
