A common problem with the original Game Boy is that the protective screen lens falls off because the adhesive fails or the screen gets scratched or damaged. Get a brand new lens to enhance your retro gaming!
The lenses are made of tempered glass and are extremely robust. They are scratch-resistant, hard-wearing and ultra-clear. They come with a self-adhesive backing, simply peel and stick.
The display pane has an adhesive backing, so no additional adhesive is required. It is best to use the screen as the last step - so you can concentrate on creating a dust-free zone between the LCD and the glass pane. To remove the dust, you can use a small blower, a hair dryer or compressed air from a can.
If the front glass is to be used for an original shell, the old adhesive should be completely removed. This avoids unsightly protrusions and ensures that the display glass is flush with the shell.
The optionally available Vinyl film is attached to the back of the adhesive surface of the glass. It is self-adhesive, so a continuous adhesive surface remains after application.
