USB-C Prestige Shell Set for Game Boy Color by RetroSix

RetroSix’s premium replacement shell is made from high-quality ABS and is designed specifically for the Q5 IPS LCD Kit . The shells can therefore be used with both original LCDs and Q5 kits without any further modifications; for the IPS kit, you simply snap off a few small tabs. The battery compartment is compatible with standard batteries, but is also designed to accommodate various rechargeable battery mods.

The USB-C case variant features a specially shaped cut-out for a USB-C port and is therefore suitable for the CleanJuice USB-C Mod .

Game Boy Color shell by RetroSix

RetroSix’s GBC shells are made from ABS sourced from Japan. According to RetroSix, the fit and tolerances are better than on the original; the plastic is more robust and free from imperfections, which are common in many replica shells. The buttons are also made from new ABS and feature more precise moulding.

To fit an IPS screen, simply snap off a few small tabs and insert the screen without any further modification. RetroSix recommends the IPS mounting frame for centring. A CleanJuice battery fits into the battery compartment without any cutting required.
